Fraternities & Sororities

Fraternity and Sorority Life (FSL) at the George Washington University is home to over 3,000 students, 38 chapters, four councils, and one Leadership Honor Society. FSL offers students the opportunity to create a home away from home while developing lifelong friendships, developing leadership skills, and giving back to the community through community service and philanthropic endeavors. With over 155 years of history, FSL is one of GW’s longest-standing traditions.

At GW, FSL is just one part of a balanced undergraduate experience. The fraternity or sorority experience is a great way to create a sense of home within the wonders of GW and Washington, D.C.
