Weeks of Welcome at the George Washington University provides opportunities for students to connect, build relationships, learn about resources, and build a community at GW as they start a new semester. Welcome events showcase the many resources GW has to offer for academic success and student support, as well as opportunities for involvement at the Mount Vernon Campus, in the performing arts community, sustainability activities, multicultural student organizations, international student activities, student organizations, and more.

Flashback to First Night 2019
First Night is an annual celebration that brings the community of new students together - essentially, it's a late-night carnival and dance party with free food and lots of fun! While we can't bring everyone together this fall, we are excited to share more soon about the virtual First Night programming we have planned for 2020.
"Go to all of the Welcome Week events! My first year I went to the Comedy Show which was hosted by Program Board and that inspired me to want to join Program Board to be part of creating events for the student body.”
