If you have recently travelled to a high-risk state, self-quarantining for 14 days is required before participating in Trails trips due to the mayor’s order. High-risk states are updated every two weeks, please check the list regularly if you are travelling outside of the DMV (D.C., Maryland, & Virginia).
Trails trips will continue to be offered throughout the spring semester for students on-campus and in the local D.C. area. Social distancing and COVID-19 measures are vital to ensure the safety of everyone on Trails trips. Wearing face coverings, keeping six-feet of distance, reducing the number of people travelling to 10 per group, and not sharing food or items is required for all Trails trips.
Trails trips will start on January 30th and will be posted later this month. Are you a first year or transfer student in the D.C. area or on-campus? Consider registering for Adventure Bound, an outdoor adventure program that meets weekly (in-person & virtually) from February through March.
Related to GW's mission of supporting and fostering learning, we would like to acknowledge that the land we organize trips to stands on Piscataway and Nacotchtank (Anacostan) land. We acknowledge the painful history of genocide and forced removal from this territory, and we honor and respect the many diverse Indigenous peoples still connected to this land on which we gather. Visit this resource to learn more about land acknowledgement.
