Fraternity & Sorority Programming

Presidents Brunch

Presidents Brunch is a program that is hosted in January for all the chapter and council presidents. The goal of the event is to bring together all of the presidents in the Fraternity & Sorority Life (FSL) community together to brainstorm ideas for cross-council programming during the upcoming academic year.

Greek Leadership Retreat

The Greek Leadership Retreat is held during the spring semester to bring together chapter presidents and council executive boards from Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek Council, National Pan-Hellenic Council, and Panhellenic Association as well as our community partners. The retreat focuses on team building activities, getting to know the different communities that make up Fraternity and Sorority Life, developing leadership skills, goal setting for the year, and so much more!

Greek Presidents Council

Greek Presidents Council is the governing body of FSL at the George Washington University. The Council is made up of all active social fraternities and sororities and is led by the four council presidents and an elected Council President. The goal of the Greek President Council is to improve the George Washington Community through coordination of cross-council events, create a culture of accountability, ensuring financial resources, advocating for Greek life, and provide a governing body.

Meet the Greeks

Meet the Greeks is an event held at the start of the fall semester where potential new members get their first chance to meet all the social Greek Fraternities and Sororities at George Washington University. This event is a great way for incoming first-year students to get to know our organizations and an informal environment as well as a great way for our organizations to advertise their values and accomplishments to the GW community.

Our Purpose Leadership Summit

Our Purpose Leadership Summit is a one-day summit in which chapter presidents, social chair, recruitment chair, new member educators and risk management chairs are asked to attend. At this summit officers will go through small and large group workshops on topics such as, but not limited to, active recruitment, effective new member education programs, hazing prevention, diversity and inclusion, and overall risk management.
