Who We Are
Welcome from the Dean
Welcome to the Office of Student Life at the George Washington University. I have had the pleasure of working at this institution for more than 11 years. The majority of these years were spent on the Mount Vernon Campus, where I had the opportunity to build a tight knit community, and create affinity for the students who called it home.
The transition to Foggy Bottom two years ago allowed me to expand that sense of connectedness and community. I enjoy working with our students to make a very large institution feel small, and helping them find their place along the way. Our team of dedicated professionals have made improving the student experience here at GW their calling.
In Student Life we are focused on the education our students receive outside of the classroom. Our core mission is to provide care and support for all GW students. We achieve this mission by ensuring a successful orientation program that acclimates our students to campus life, by providing an environment that allows students to make connections with one another and the many student organizations that exist on campus, and by supporting students through all of the many transitions that they will experience in college.
We are your campus advocates and provide assistance when it comes to managing a crisis, navigating campus policies and procedures, and connecting you with the proper campus resources. Get to know our team, they are here to assist you and eager to provide support. It is our goal to foster lifelong learners who embrace the curiosities of our campus, community, and the world.
Take time to visit one of our offices located in the Webb Building on the Mount Vernon Campus, and the ground, second, and fifth floors of the University Student Center. I also invite you to engage with Student Life at GW on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. I want to get to know you and your story, and I look forward to connecting virtually.
Raise High!
