Health & Well-Being

Campus Recreation

Campus Recreation provides sound programming for the university's diverse community in the areas of intramural and sport clubs, fitness and wellness instruction and informal recreational opportunities.

Student Health Center

The Student Health Center (SHC) at the George Washington University (GW) is a multidisciplinary, integrated, student healthcare service that provides confidential, student-centered care in an accessible, safe, culturally sensitive, and supportive environment. The SHC seeks to promote healthy lifestyle choices and to holistically support the physical and emotional well-being of students in order to achieve academic success.

Counseling and Psychological Services

Counseling and Psychological Services serves GW students and engages the entire GW community, working to build a culture of support and connection with student well-being. Counseling and Psychological Services supports mental health and personal development by collaborating directly with students to overcome challenges and difficulties that may interfere with academic, emotional, and personal success.

Lerner Health and Wellness Center

Located at the corner of 23rd and G Streets, the 189,000 square foot Lerner Health and Wellness Center is available for use by current George Washington University Faculty, Staff and Students.

Raise Up GW Initiative

Raise Up GW is GW's initiative dedicated to helping students engage in a comprehensive well-being experience across campus. We empower our students to actively engage in well-being activities that are supportive of holistic lifestyles. Through this initiative, students will gain an understanding of resources and learn how to help others in need.
