Other Events

There are so many beloved campus events and activities that take place throughout the year. Here are some upcoming spring events and activities to look forward to.

The George Washington University has cancelled all in-person events and activities in response to COVID-19. The Office of Student Life and Division for Student Affairs (DSA) is committed to providing a holistic student experience. As we all work and study virtually, our team has curated dozens of online resources and events for students to participate. Visit the DSA website for more information.

Halfway to Graduation

Halfway to Graduation celebrates and commemorates the Class of 2022 for reaching the halfway point of their journey at GW. It is a time to reflect on their beginning, celebrate their accomplishments, and look forward to the rest of their time at the university.

In place of an in-person event, we are celebrating the sophomore class of 2020 with #HalfwayWednesdays. Be sure to follow Student Life at GW on social media for ways you can participate in Halfway to Graduation virtually from home!

Chalk-In is a GW tradition celebrating 40 years. This event provides GW students and members of the GW community an opportunity to celebrate art, relax and relieve stress before finals.

In place of an in-person event, we are hosting Chalk-In(stagram) virtually. Be sure to follow Student Life at GW on social media to see how we celebrated!

Back to the Vern

A beloved tradition that invites all graduating seniors who lived on the Mount Vernon Campus their first-year to reunite with each other for an afternoon of food, fun, and memories!

We are sad that we can't welcome the graduating class of 2020 to the Mount Vernon Campus this spring, but look forward to celebrating your virtual commencement on May 17!
