National Mall Kickback
Welcome to GW! The National Mall Kickback welcomes first-year students on Wednesday, August 23 from 4-7 p.m. The Kickback gives students a chance to connect with their peers and build community while enjoying a meal and lawn games all in the shadow of the Lincoln Memorial. Please use this website as a guide on the day of the event for directions, activities, and a meal preview to help select your meal!
Location & Schedule
Join us at the Henry Bacon Ball Field at 23rd St and Constitution Ave, Washington, DC, 20037. Look for the GW signs and balloon arch to mark the entrance!
First-year students are invited to join the Kickback starting at 4:00 pm until 7:00 pm. Students are encouraged to meet up with their Orientation Groups and travel together to the National Mall!
Kickback Activities
In addition to a meal, other outdoor activities will be available! Enjoy outdoor lawn games including corn-hole, can-jam, ladder golf, giant Jenga, and frisbees available for your use. During your time at the Kickback, wander over to the Lincoln Memorial or create a photo opp with our GW balloons. Don't forget to pick up your GW outdoor blanket before you leave!
