Health Promotion & Education aids students in making informed and intentional decisions regarding their wellbeing. Through peer education and collaboration with other service areas and departments on campus, we provide a myriad of services to support student wellbeing.

Mallory McPherson-Wehan, MPH (She/Her/Hers)
Assistant Director
Mallory McPherson-Wehan is a big fan of pickleball, the Bachelor, and supporting student wellbeing. She completed both of her degrees (BA in Political Communication & MPH in Maternal and Child Health) at GW and teaches LSPA classes in the Exercise Science & Nutrition Sciences program in Milken. In her free time, she rock climbs, processes existential crises, and vents about fitness trackers. Find her in the Student Support office on the ground floor of the University Student Center.

Dylan Precourt, MPH, CPH (He/Him/His)
Program Associate
Prior to joining the team at GW, Dylan worked at the University of South Florida St. Petersburg Wellness Center where he collaborated with practitioners and Student Success staff to implement health programs. Dylan received his education from the University of South Florida where he obtained his MPH degree with a concentration in Behavioral Health. In his free time, Dylan likes to go on hikes, ride his bike, play video games, or watch sports.

Emily Htway, BS, BA (She/Her/Hers)
Sexual Health Specialist
Emily Htway is an MPH candidate specializing in Maternal and Child Health. In her current role as Program Assistant, she plans to promote comprehensive sexual health education and expand access to sexual health resources on campus. Before coming to GW, Emily got her bachelor's degree from UC Davis, where she double majored in Neurobiology and Gender Studies. She has also worked as a Clinical Research Coordinator for UC Davis Health Department of Pediatrics. In her free time, Emily enjoys watching the latest Apple TV drama and going on adventures with her pug, Sully.
Raegan Persful, BPH (She/Her/Hers)
Substance Use Specialist
Raegan is a first-year MPH Candidate on the Humanitarian Health track working in Health Promotion & Education. As a Student Support Specialist, she hopes to bring awareness to substance use disorders and create avenues to engage students. Raegan received her BPH from the University of Kentucky (go cats!) and is excited to be in DC!
Nicole Dimock (She/Her/Hers)
Wellbeing Student Coordinator
Nicole Dimock is a fourth-year GW student majoring in cognitive neuroscience and minoring in public health. As a student well-being coordinator, she hopes to promote topics ranging from mental health to substance use awareness. Nicole is especially passionate about sexual health, and she hopes to promote sexual health resources and education on campus. In her free time, Nicole loves to watch Netflix, play video games, and explore DC!
Maddie Dostal (She/Her/Hers)
Wellbeing Student Coordinator
Maddie is currently a senior studying International Affairs and minoring in Economics and Spanish at GW. After graduation she plans to shift gears and will focus on finding a graduate program where she can research effective sexual health curriculum development in areas where opposition to sex education is extreme. This year she will be spending her free time completing her Honors Thesis, practicing with the Club Boxing team, and visiting as many Smithsonian museums as possible!
Charlotte Ketterson (She/Her/Hers)
Wellbeing Student Coordinator
Charlotte Ketterson is a Junior at GWU majoring in marketing and minoring in psychological and brain sciences. As a wellbeing student coordinator, she is interested in mental health promotion, community wellbeing, and working to spread awareness of all of GWs health resources. Outside of this, Charlotte likes to go on runs, and watch tv with her roommates.
Kiandra White (She/Her/Hers)
Wellbeing Student Coordinator
Kiandra White is a Junior at GW, originally from El Paso, Texas. She is a Public Health and Korean Language and Literature double major. In the latter part of her career, she hopes to combine her love of Public Health and Korean to translate medical information, become a physician, and create policies that make healthcare and sexual health education more accessible to underrepresented minorities. Outside of her studies, she is a part of Delta Epsilon Mu, the GW Sirens, Capital Peers, and Program Board on campus.
Julia Zhu (She/Her/Hers)
Wellbeing Student Coordinator
Julia is a senior majoring in public health with a pre-med concentration and a minor in dance. She currently plans to go to medical school and is interested in maternal health. Previously, she worked in the Global Mental Health Equity Lab as a research assistant. In her current role, she plans to focus on nutrition and targeting insecurity within the student body. When she’s not studying, she loves to play board games, learn a fun dance, and try new recipes
