Transfer Students

The Division for Student Affairs supports transfer students starting with orientation and until graduation through a variety of programming and resources. We are excited to get to know you, and welcome you to the GW community!

Thrive GW

Thrive GW, an initiative of the Office of Student Life for 2020-21, will pair each new undergraduate student with a trained Guide. Guides will help new students orient to and engage in the GW community and find the necessary support to foster student success. In these uncertain times caused by COVID-19, these staff Guides will serve as trained, experienced, and enthusiastic “anchors” to help first-year students feel connected to GW.

Transfer Student Organization

The Transfer Student Organization (TSO) is a student-led initiative that strives to reach out and engage transfer students, on an academic, extra-curricular, and social level at GW. As an organization we strive to get transfer students involved within our organization as well as help and encourage students to apply for and participate in other student organizations they find interesting. Students can get more involved by visiting the TSO Engage portal
